Being situated 1,800 meters above sea level, on top of the Siria escarpment (also called Oloololo Escarpment), overlooking the Mara River (1,500 meters) Kilima Camp offer a phenomenal view, “the Gods’ window”. All safari tents at Kilima Camp benefit from a fabulous view over the Masai Mara plains (Maasai Mara) and Mara river.

Kilima Camp's exclusive position provides a natural degree of privacy. Kilima Camp is located on a private concession bordering the current boundaries of the Mara Triangle Wilderness Area, one of the three contiguous administrative areas of the Masai Mara National Reserve (know as the Maasai Mara or Masai Mara).

Kilima Camp’s enviable location also offers guests the chance to discover local wildlife as well as learning about Masai customs and traditions on a variety of nature walks originating from the proximity of Kilima Camp.

With the entrance to the north west entrance of Masai Mara National Reserve (Oloololo Gate) and local airstrip (Kichwa Tembo) just a fifteen minute drive away, Kilima Camp is not only easy to reach but also the perfect base from which to explore the plains and its wildlife.

Surrounded by an abundance of wildlife, game viewing, whether by car or on foot, around the Camp is superb all year round. The main crossing points on the Mara River during the Great Migration are about 30 minutes drive away from Kilima Camp.
